Marks & Spencer Opening event in Cairo Festival City

Marks & Spencer, the iconic leading British clothing retailer celebrated the launch of a new store in Cairo, giving Egyptians a one-stop fashion destination and introducing its latest collections for the whole family at the highly-anticipated Cairo Festival City Mall, which promises to revolutionize Cairo’s retail landscape and enhance lifestyle experiences with the introduction of a unique shopping, leisure and entertainment destination unlike any other in Egypt.

Marks & Spencer’s traditional ribbon cutting ceremony was attended the President of the Al-Futtaim Group MENA Retail Division, Mr Paul Delaoutre; the Managing Director Marks & Spencer Al-Futtaim Group MENA, Mr John Cooper; Head of Marketing Marks & Spencer Al-Futtaim Group MENA, Mrs Mariam Chahin; and members of the local and regional media.

“At Marks & Spencer, we believe that every customer deserves to look great and feel confident in their clothes. This is supported by our three key business pillars: fashion, value and product innovation. We are focused on delivering exceptional quality, stylish fashions to our customers each time they shop with us. This is part of our ongoing commitment to deliver improved and upgraded clothes while maintaining competitive prices for our Egyptian customers,” concluded Cooper.

Mr John Cooper, Managing Director Marks & Spencer Al-Futtaim Group MENA commented: “We are thrilled to see the opening of the biggest Marks & Spencer store in Egypt in such a prime location. This investment is a major milestone towards growing our presence in Egypt. We have a unique opportunity to offer our customers a truly distinguished shopping experience and key fashion items that meet their everyday needs.”

The Brand's stylist was nice enough to show me around the store unveiling the new Marks & Spencer is  womenswear collections for the Autumn season, with a renewed focus on exceptional quality and confident style.

The overarching mood for the new season is one of the confident femininity, celebrating the female form in flattering fit and design whilst bringing several strong trend guidelines into play.

Print and pattern take a considered direction using simple silhouettes, tonal animal prints and more refined geometrics to set a sophisticated print tone. In contrast, exquisite fabrics make the strongest style statement with an emphasis on opulent brocades, embellishment and leather.

With such as distinctive array of contemporary trends, the Autumn 2013 collection’s look is set to revitalize the way women dress and inspire an exciting change to winter wardrobe.

Customers can choose from quality, timeless wardrobe staples such as elegant jackets and perfect everyday blouses as well as trend-led wearable fashion pieces with bold checks and strong colors. The store’s clothing collection also feature a host of clever product innovations, for example suits that are fully machine washable and Secret Support™ lingerie which gives women a more flattering silhouette.

There is also a free bra fitting, just to make sure you are wearing the right bra for your size. We all just do the same mistake of wearing bigger or smaller cups of bras, don't we?

Marks & Spencer offers a range of exclusive sub-brands, each with its own distinct look and identity, aimed to best meet the personal style preference of its customers. For example in womenswear, Autograph emulates affordable designer quality with exquisite, understated elegance and luxury fabrics, whilst Indigo is the retailer’s authentic fashion denim and casualwear range.
