M.A.C Retro Matte Collection: lipstick and lip liner review

It's not often today that people stray from the normal, popular brands. But those popular brand ain't popular for nothing. They are popular for their quality products and the many other features anyone would buy a makeup product for.

What I have here today is a popular, high end brand, that no girl's makeup kit is empty from, M.A.C .

M.A.C lipstick in All Fired Up is a bright reddish fuchsia matte shade, the kind of fuchsia that almost looks warm. This shade doesn’t have blue undertones to it. The texture dried out my lips, yet with a lipbalm on top would do. It has a very opaque color payoff that it wore well for 7 hours and also left a stain behind. I would highly recommend exfoliating and hydrating lips prior to application. Kate Moss by Rimmel London in 06 is a brighter & shinier shade of All Fired up.

M.A.C lip liner in High Energy is a medium orange red with a matte finish.  It was slightly dry in consistency, and I was able to get opaque color that was very even overall. However, it is not as drying as the lipstick. The birght red shade is very elegant to wear alone without a lipstick or a gloss. This shade wore well for eight hours but was drying on its own.
