Incoco nail polish Appliques-strips review

Nail strips and appliques are the new thing now. They are fast, trendy, saves you the time and hassle of applying nail art. If you, like me, have healthy long nails, love the fact that press on nails (acrylics) are very convenient and fast since they are already painted, but hate that pressure feeling on your nails and that press on's prevents air from reaching your nails, and the only reason you use them is you are always in a rush that you have no time to paint your own nails, then I'm sure u r gonna love Incoco

.

What I didn't know about nail polish strips is that some companies, like Incoco, are actually using real polish to create their nail strips. When I opened the sealed packaging, it smelt like polish! So, it is real.

This is actually my first time to try polish strips and, honestly, I'm amazed of how easy the application was. It only took me 5 minutes per hand. It is very easy to remove with regular polish remover. Didn't dry or harm my nails, on the contrary, my nails felt soft after I removed the polish, which is very odd. I even used acetone remover which is even more harsh to the nails, but I'm glad it left my nails that way. It stayed 5 days on my nails then it started to chip a bit. I believe one of the main reasons for that is that I use my hands and nails harshly while doing anything.

Incoco has sent me several sets of strips to review. The patterns I am swatching below is Lush Blush and Penny Rose.

How to Apply:
  • Buff & file your nails prior application.
  • Use a soft cuticle pusher tool to smooth out the edges prior to application.
  • Try to limit touching the adhesive side of the strips.
  • Be careful of wrinkles when pressing down.
  • Seal the edges before filing them off.
  • File the tip off the strip off clean.
  • Don't file it most of the way and pull the rest off off .
  • Don't rush through the application. Taking the time to match up the right size, carefully filing the edges off, and applying the straight = no wrinkles will lead to not only a better looking manicure, but a longer wearing one.
  • Even though they are "no dry time", because they are made of nail polish, they need 15 to 30 minutes to completely set to your nails.

Best part of this.. No dry time. Perfect for a night out when you're running late and don't have time to wait for a mani to dry or to do some nail art.

The variety of colors and nail art is amazing, they even have French nail tips to apply for a french mani! Ain't it amazing! A packet consists of 16 nail appliques of 8 sizes each.

Overall I was very impressed with these nail polish strips and I would definitely recommend them! The only downside is that my nails are too tiny that only 3 strips would fit my nails size, the other 3 sizes included were too big that I had to buff off the sides too.

Incoco Nail Polish Appliques are available from www.incoco.com and retail for $8.99. You can also follow the Incoco Blog for updates and news.

What do you think? Have you ever used appliques? Did you love them?
