Bourjois Color Edition 24H cream to powder eyeshadows- first impression

For Christmas 2013, Bourjois is enchanting us with the magic of the illumination of crystallised snow and glistening ice. Bourjois, this Christmas, is presenting us a new cream to powder eyeshadows packed in an updated version of Bourjois' iconic little round pots, with a metallic finish. This is a new take on the classic smokey eye.

I have been immersed with two of the new shades in 05. Prune Nocturne and 06. Bleu Tenebreux. Initially the texture is quite tough and firm in the pots so it is best to soften the cream with the heat of your fingertips before applying it all over the eyelid. I used my fingers to pick up the pigments from the pot and apply on my skin to swatch them. I believe if I am going to blend this cream eyeshadows on my eyelids, I'm going to blend out the edges with a stiff blending brush like M.A.C's 217.
05 Prune Nocturne: brown base with a tint of purple/burghandy shade with sheen

06 Bleu Tenebreux: navy blue with a hint of sheen and metallic shine

True to their promise, these shadows are truly cream to powder and transform quickly once in contact with skin, but are still easy to work with and blend. The texture is very soft, and has a non creamy or greasy finish, just like any cream eyeshadow. So its not like M.A.C paint pot or Lise Watier creme brule creme eyeshadows that you get to apply a powder eyeshadow on top to set and brighten the shade. Its already a powder finish that doesn't need to set. Howevere, I didn't find them enough pigmented, I think the pigmentation would have been better, but again, this is only my first impression.

I believe I can also use a small angled brush, these would also be brilliant to line the lash line with or simply add a metallic flick of color to my winged eyeliner.

The Packaging
This is the 2013 version of the iconic Bourjois little round pot as I have stated before. The shade is transparently visible, the bottom of the pack takes the dome from the round pots and the format remains just as generous The label is silver and metallic pink, reflecting the metallic finish of the eyeshadow.
