New Bourjois Happy Light Collection

More new products from Bourjois and, in my opinion and I believe a lot will agree with me on this, they are back to what they do best - foundation.

In my opinion Bourjois Healthy Mix is the best drugstore foundation ever, and I have done several posts & reviews on this you can check here and here,  and it competes with many pricier foundations too, like Make Up For Ever HD foundation. So, for me, the Healthy Mix foundation was the best on top of all Bourjois' foundations and whatever comes next by Bourjois has to surpass my high expectations.

The whole concept of the happy light range is that they promote healthy, glowing skin without the need for shimmer or glitter particles to create a light within glow. So I had to see for myself to check how true that is. So, I received Samples from Bourjois on their new Happy Light Collection, which consists of: Foundation, Primer and Concealer.

Bourjois Happy Light Foundation. My current foundation of choice that I’ll continue to adore throughout winter, and until they produce another one that will surpass it. It’s a lighter base compared to the Healthy Mix foundation and better lasting power. This foundation is the quickest foundation routine I have ever applied. Its extremely blendable and very easy to work into the skin. It literary took seconds to set into my skin. It is very smooth and soft on my skin that it didn't cause me breakouts and my face didn't grease, despite I have a combo skin and its very easy for my T-zone to oil out.  I didn't even have to seal it with powder on top. This illuminating foundation really makes the skin glow without looking fake or like a having mask on my face. It is a light coverage which is buildable to a medium coverage. I absolutely recommend this product.

I’ve been wearing a pink toned shade 51 Vanille Rosee. It meshes with the skin beautifully when blended with fingers. I also use my Real Techniques Face Expert brush for deep and quick blending. There is a huge variety of other shades from 50 up to 58 (9 shades). However, I'm quite disappointed with the glass packaging, which makes is difficult to pack in my makeup bag as it could easily get broken. I just hope they produce another one in a more convenient packaging that is break-proof or something.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous & Matte Primer. This is the first face primer I’ve tried from a drugstore that blew me away in terms of delivering what they promise. The Matte primer I tested, which is for normal to oily skin, isn't anything as any high end brand, yet manages to mattify without a thick layer feeling over the skin. It did not top my passion for Benefit's Porefessional, yet the Happy light primer is good enough to work with whenever I run out of the Porefessional.
Bourjois Happy Light Concealer. My continuous hunt for the prefect concealer that would cover my dark circles beautifully, I believe, would never end. Despite I'm a huge fan of the foundation, I didn't like the concealer much. I guess it's me, not the product! I'm not quite sure I still have a love-hate relationship with it. I had to use a neutralizer shade (My NYX concealer in a jar in yellow) prior to applying the Bourjois Happy Light concealer, as, for some reason, it covered my dark circles as I expected, however, it looked cakey, fake and unnatural. It didn't blend well into my skin. I believe it would be a better highlighter than a concealer. It did hide my few blemishes and redness around my nose beautifully because it is very pigmented.

Its fairly thick and creamy concealer that offers full coverage. The shade I got is 22 Beige Rosee, and, the concealer is available in 3 shades, and you get 2.5 grams of product.
