Egyptian summer. Sweat. Greasy skin. Breakouts. These are all things any girl will tell you she absolutely avoids.
Now, there are as many skin types as
there are women, but those can be arranged into four categories: acne, oily,
dry, and combination (these can often overlap). The Neutrogena Deep Clean
Invigorating 2-in-1 Face Wash and Mask we’re reviewing today is not destined
for any particular skin type.
What is this exactly?
This product is a thick pale blue
paste that smells and feels cool and minty on the skin. The tube is 150 ml,
which lasted me approximately 5 months, used at least 5 times a week.
What does it do?
As a face wash: When applied to a wet
face, it lathers a bit and becomes a face wash. Neutrogena claims that a face
wash, it removes dirt, oil and make up, which is exactly what it does. After using it, the skin feels very clean,
refreshed and ridden of any impurities. Used regularly, it also has also helped
clear a bit of my acne, even though the product does not claim to fight acne.
As a mask: The indications on the
tube state that this product can be used as a clay mask weekly. To apply it as a
mask, massage small amounts of the product onto your dry face. Remember, if the
product comes into contact with water, it lathers! It is indicated to leave the
mask on for 5 minutes, but I’ve left it as long as an hour and a half with no
difference.
The mask is extremely drying and
should not be used by someone that doesn't have oily skin. Applying it to my
less oily forehead makes it feel dry and cracky.
